Live - “Horse”
Throwing Copper, 1994
(Hidden Tracks Week, Day #1)

During a discussion about the merits of Pearl Jam’s “Foxymophandlemomma, That’s Me” with my friend Dan Bookbinder last week he suggested I do a week of hidden tracks. So here it is. Hidden tracks have always been a big thrill to me, that great feeling of getting something that was not expected, one last extra tune. It’s like the encore after the concert. And just like with the encore, the hidden track on an album was something that was expected, like it was a disappointment if there wasn’t one.

We’ll start with this one, the hidden track from Live’s second LP. This country-flavored tune comes a couple of minutes after the end of “White/Discussion.”
